The belt conveyor is mainly composed of conveyor belt, driving roller, redirecting roller, roller, tensioning device, etc. The driving roller is driven by the motor through the reducer to rotate, and the friction between the driving roller and the conveyor belt drives the conveyor belt to run.
The material is placed on the conveyor belt and is transported as the conveyor belt moves. The redirecting roller is used to change the running direction of the conveyor belt, and the roller supports the conveyor belt and the material, reduces the sag of the conveyor belt during operation, and ensures its smooth operation. The tensioning device is used to adjust the tension of the conveyor belt to ensure that there is enough friction between the conveyor belt and the driving roller to prevent slipping.
Structural Composition:
1. Conveyor belt: It is a key component for carrying and conveying materials, usually composed of a belt core and a covering layer. The belt core provides the necessary strength, and common ones include fabric cores (such as cotton canvas, nylon canvas, etc.) and wire rope cores. The covering layer protects the belt core and contacts the material. It must have the characteristics of wear resistance, acid and alkali resistance, oil resistance, etc. Different covering layers of different materials are selected according to the different conveying materials, such as rubber, plastic, etc.

Driving device: including motors, reducers, couplings and drive rollers, etc. The motor provides power, and the reducer converts the high-speed rotation of the motor into the low-speed and high-torque rotation required by the drive roller. The coupling is used to connect the motor, reducer and drive roller to ensure the effective transmission of power. The surface of the drive roller is usually specially treated, such as rubber coating, to increase the friction between it and the conveyor belt.
3. Roller: In addition to the drive roller, there are also redirection rollers, including tail rollers, vertical tension rollers, redirection rollers, etc. The tail roller is used to change the running direction of the conveyor belt so that the conveyor belt forms a closed loop; the vertical tension roller and the redirecting roller are used to adjust the running direction and tension of the conveyor belt to ensure the normal operation of the conveyor belt.
4. Rollers: divided into trough rollers, parallel rollers, self-aligning rollers and buffer rollers. Trough rollers are generally used to convey bulk materials, which can make the conveyor belt form a trough shape and increase the carrying capacity of the materials; parallel rollers are mostly used to convey finished items or as supports for unloaded sections; self-aligning rollers are used to correct the deviation of the conveyor belt; buffer rollers are installed at the feed to reduce the impact of materials on the conveyor belt.
5. Tensioning device: Common ones are weight-type, spiral-type and hydraulic tensioning devices. The weight-type tensioning device automatically adjusts the tension of the conveyor belt by hanging a weight and using gravity; the spiral tensioning device adjusts the tightness of the conveyor belt by rotating the screw; the hydraulic tensioning device uses the hydraulic system to accurately control the tension of the conveyor belt.Conveyor Equipment, Belt Conveyor, Feeder
6. Frame: It is the supporting structure of the conveyor, welded from steel sections and steel plates. It is used to install and fix components such as drive units, rollers, idlers, tensioning devices, etc., to ensure the relative positions of the components are accurate and to stabilize the overall structure of the conveyor.
