Working Principle：

Most scrap metal chip cake machines use hydraulic drive principle. The hydraulic system transmits the hydraulic oil to the cylinder through the oil pump, and the piston in the cylinder moves under the pressure of the hydraulic oil. When the scrap metal chips are placed into the pressing chamber of the machine, the piston drives the indenter to apply great pressure to the scrap metal chips. Under this pressure, the space between the particles of scrap metal chips gradually decreases, and the metal chips are compacts and eventually form a cake. Structural Composition:

1. Fuselage:

It is the support structure of the entire equipment and is usually welded from strong steel plates that can withstand the enormous pressure generated during the pressing process. 2. Pressing system:

Includes indenter and die. The indenter is a component that acts directly on scrap metal chips and is generally made of high-strength alloy steel to ensure that it can withstand high pressure without deformation. The shape and size of the mold determine the shape and size of the scrap metal cake, and the common molds are round, square and other shapes. For example, the metal cake pressed by the round mold is easy to roll and transport on the conveyor belt, while the square mold is more conducive to neat stacking.

3. Hydraulic system:

It is mainly composed of hydraulic pump, oil cylinder, hydraulic valve and oil tank. The hydraulic pump is the power source, which draws the hydraulic oil from the tank and pressurizes it to the cylinder. The cylinder is the key component to produce pressure, and the stroke and diameter of the piston will affect the pressure and stroke of the pressing. Hydraulic valves are used to control the flow direction and pressure of hydraulic oil, for example, the maximum pressure can be controlled by adjusting the relief valve.

4. Feeding system:

It consists of a hopper and a conveying device. The hopper is used for collecting and temporarily storing scrap metal scraps, and its opening size and shape should facilitate the input of metal scraps. 5. Discharge system:

When the scrap metal cake is pressed, the discharge system is responsible for pushing it out of the mold. The common discharge methods are mechanical push and hydraulic push.
